Customer Value and Business Value Analysis

Boston Matrix

The Boston Matrix, also known as the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Matrix, is a strategic tool used by organizations to analyze and manage their product portfolio. It helps businesses categorize their products or business units based on their market growth rate and relative market share. The matrix provides a visual representation that assists in strategic decision-making regarding resource allocation and prioritization.

By categorizing products into four quadrants (Stars, Question Marks, Cash Cows, and Dogs), the Boston Matrix helps enterprises decide where to invest resources, which products to develop further, and which to divest.

The Boston Matrix helps companies manage their product portfolios effectively by making informed decisions about where to allocate resources and how to strategize for future growth.
